Inorganic Mineral Salts
Dr Schuessler, an eminent 19th century German Physician discovered that our body’s contain 12 inorganic mineral salts (Tissue Salts), that are required for optimum health. He named this system of medicine biochemistry (the chemistry of life).
These essential mineral salts should be present in our food when grown organically in mineral rich soil however with modern agricultural practices these minerals are sadly lacking.
When preparing Tissue salts, the essential minerals are ground into fine particles with a lactose base that can easily be absorbed under the tongue and delivered to exactly where they are needed. For babies, diabetics or anyone who prefers to take these in liquid form they are also available in drops.
Tissue salts are safe and non toxic.
Dr. Schuessler identified 12 essential mineral salts which are as follows:
- Calc Fluor
- Calc Phos
- Calc Sulph
- Ferrum Phos
- Kali Mur
- Kali Phos
- Kali Sulph
- Mag Phos
- Nat Mur
- Nat Phos
- Nat Sulph
- Silica
When there is an imbalance in any of these, illness can follow.
CALC FLUOR
To give a short explanation of Calc Fluor – This salt is found in the surface of the bones, the enamel of the teeth, it is a constituent of elastic fibres of the skin and found in the vascular walls. A lack of Calc Fluor in the body can result in numerous conditions such as:
- Hard knotty swellings on the surface of a bone (bone spurs)
- Varicose veins and haemorrhoids
- Deficient tooth enamel
- Ganglia or encysted Tumors
- Cataracts or hard cyst-like layers of cells on the eye surface
- Chapped skin
- Fibroids in the uterus
Tissue salts can be used alone or in combination with each other. Several combinations have shown to be very effective and one I like and use a lot is a combination of Ferrum Phos, Calc Sulph and Kali Sulph. Taken together (one tablet of each) every 20 minutes at the very beginning of a cold when getting a sore throat or when the nose begins to run can boost the immune system and thus halt a cold in it’s tracks.
There are lots more combinations and information about the other Tissue Salts, so if you are interested please contact me or come in for a consultation.
